Magda obtained her PhD in Information Systems from the London School of Economics. Magda has held teaching positions at the University College London, Westminster Business School, London School of Economics, City University, University of London, Birkbeck. She also taught overseas in Aarhus University and University of São Paulo, lecturing on ICT and business innovation, social media, information management and project management. She also teaches research methods to UCL-Peking University. Magda is a consultant on social media and community building, having been the editor and manager of New Media Knowledge, a community-based hub of 9,000 professionals from digital industries. She researches and publishes articles on social media, focusing on information and knowledge sharing, collaboration through Internet channels, and the governance structures of online collectives.
